Its new owners are Ruben and Celia Vasco da Gama who are both Goans.
Ruben is an engineer from Verna, Salcette and Celia, a microbiologist from Mapuca.
Both have worked with untiring enthusiasm in the conservation and restoration for the past 3 years.
They owe special thanks to Arch. Helder Carita (author of “Palaces of Goa”, and had visited the Palácio do Deão 11 years earlier) and gave encouragement and ideas.
